To all who live near enough to Clevedon, Somerset to make a trip to the Curzon cinema worthwhile:
There is the film, “More than honey” showing on the 23rd march (sunday) at 7.30pm. It’s a challenging film to watch which underscores many of the reasons why I find it difficult to buy honey anymore. Some scenes were particularly gruelling & some raised a few questions. I found it sad there was no mention of natural beekeeping as an alternative, although Simon Buxton did make a brief appearance.
After the showing, there will be some sort of event….not certain whether it will take the form of a discussion or stalls demonstrating natural bee keeping. It may be neither. It may be both.
If you can’t make it, the DVD is available from the internet…not sure which site…I bought it a while ago but it costs roughly £15.00 & if you type it in google, it will come up.
My preference for a decent bee dvd about their problems & possible solutions is the co-op dvd called “Vanishing of the bees” which is also available from the internet (Amazon). However, it is not as emotive as “More than honey” & might not provoke such discussion as I imagine this one could do.
