Bee leaflet

Here is a link to the leaflet I made ultimately to promote healthier bees & an awareness of the hidden insecticides in a variety of domestic products currently on the market.

Thanks must be given to Phil Chandler from Biobees as I lifted a good deal of the original material from his “10 easy ways to help the bees”. It has since evolved into its present form after discussion in our bee group (YABeeP) about bee boxes & after a very inspiring visit to Chris Parks of Acorn Education near Swindon.

I hope some of you will download and print the pdf  & distribute in your area. It would be great to think that ordinary folk are gaining some awareness of the hidden dangers of Neo-nicotinoids.

By the way, it is meant to be printed on A4 paper front & back & then folded into 3.

Very impressive. You have done an excellent job on this. Have saved the two files and will print a load out for the village. As a parish councillor I can state with a great deal of certainty that this sort of thing adds a lot of interest within the communities. If this is included in parish/village newsletters more people will take notice. Tomorrow night it will be presented to the rest of the parish councillors. It will definitely be included in our newsletter as a separate leaflet for future reference. 🙂

That’s great news. I think people like the pictures & there has certainly been a lot of interest in our villages round here. Also, with the plight of the humble bumble bee being broadcast so much, many people are wanting to do something but not sure what.
By the way, have you seen the latest bumble bee slaughter in America? An aphid killer (neonic, of course) was reputedly to have been sprayed while the affected trees were in flower!!! Consequently, thousands of bees were found dead in the streets etc. This was even after a previous episode not long before in America. Do they never learn?
I may have forwarded this on to you already.
